What is Reiki Drumming?
Reiki Drumming blends the healing traditions of the East and the West with the ancient ceremonial practice of the drum. Sound is energy and the drum is a powerful sound maker.. The repetition of the drumbeat creates a hum that raises vibration and amplifies the energy which allows the body to accelerate its natural healing abilities. When the drum is combined with Reiki energy it is even more powerful. Studies have found that drumming can assist in relaxation, enhance a meditative state and boost the immune system. This combination of Reiki and drumming affects the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies simultaneously and is a powerful method of energy healing. Reiki Drumming cannot be explained. It must be experienced!
A Reiki Drumming Session
A Reiki Drumming Session is usually 30-60 minutes. You will comfortably relax, fully clothed, on a Reiki table. The practitioner uses a flat round drum called a buffalo drum. This is held in one hand and the other hand uses a mallet to beat the drum while you are surrounded with the rhythmic beating of the drum to increase your energy vibration and tap into your natural healing ability. This is followed by a traditional Reiki session where the practitioner gently facilitates the movement of energy. As stress is relieved, tensions in the physical body are often released as well
